My new laptop computer (a Dell Latitude E6510) arrived today, but the process of getting it configured basically ate the rest of my day. Good grief, what a huge laptop computer. It's two inches wider and one inch deeper than my now-retired D610. All hope of ever being able to get anything done on an airplane from a coach seat is now gone. I wish I'd read the spec sheet more closely on the list of available machines. I think I might have taken slightly less performance for a less unwieldy size.
It's also an unavoidable shame that the docking stations, batteries, and sundry accessories for the E series are incompatible with the D series. The only things cross-compatible are the power supplies.
