And if I hadn't been involved in setting up for the Fannish Iron Chef even (or as WJW termed it "Iron Chef: Conzilla!") I would have been at the formal site selection meeting. Not only is it a courtesy to the newly elected Westercon, its a case of "Better to have and not need than to need and not have."
