Yes, so I've heard. Not having television myself, I'm not likely to see the new show. I did see an interview with Alec Baldwin saying that (translating from the interview-speak) the technicians fitted a wireless transmitter to an ECM-51A microphone and that they'll let him use it until it breaks. (ECM-51A microphones are delicate and difficult to repair.) I sympathize. I've tried to use my microphone with cables, and it's really easy to get tangled up in them. Nowadays Lisa fits me with a wireless transmitter on my belt and plugs the microphone into that. The good part is not getting tangled. The bad part is that I can't set the microphone down.
