There were pictures of you in the FGoH display I made, along with the other MythAdventures Fan Club organizers. I had to fit the speech into the time I had available -- and I might add, I just barely made it, too -- and necessarily had to rush a lot of things. (That's one reason I'm glad they let me do the exhibit -- it gave me a chance to put in stuff that I didn't talk about in the speech.)

Besides, I wasn't sure you would want to be associated with me in this context, and since I didn't really knuckle down and write it until just before the convention -- I outlined it on the flight up to Seattle and finished it late the night before -- I had no opportunity to check with you.

There are many things left out of that speech. I'm sorry I gave you any offense by not including you. I was frankly worried that you'd take offense if I did include you. It's a no-win situation. But because this LJ entry is the only place I've archived the speech, you're now on the record.
