Digging Out
Yesterday I felt well enough to plow through the pile of mail that accumulated during the Worldcon trip, some of it self-inflicted.
The box I mailed to myself from Belfast, and the tube from Dublin. (As I said earlier, had I known I'd get the Saga class upgrades, it would have been cheaper, but less convenient, to buy another bag and carry the stuff home that way.) The rest was accumulated postal mail.
I spent an hour or so going through it all, and as I expected, nearly all of it was different sorts of junk mail, which I had to sort into "shred" and "discard directly" piles. By the time I finished shredding the shreddables, the shredder was starting to make unhappy overheating noises.
