Chairs on Deck
As I mentioned yesterday, we went and bought new deck chairs to replace the one that failed. The other one of the brown plastic chairs is still in one piece, but is now relegated to secondary duty on the back patio along with an even older chair that is the only one of four surviving chairs from the Slan Shack in San Jose.

The new chairs are now set up on the front porch. They are the same width as the old ones.

A handy feature in the new chairs is a fold-out cup holder, which also includes space for a mobile phone, a place to hang a key ring, and also a space for glasses.
The new chairs' rated capacity is 350 pounds (around 160 kg). Even I don't weight that much, and never did, even at my peak weight.
