You have a point, and that's an artifact of how it was written -- I had a document open and the computer sitting on the seat tray, but I didn't write it all at once, but every few minutes as something happened. It wasn't intended as a story with a flow as much as a very long diary entry, for my own sake.

And I also admit that it's boring, because nothing bad happened. Unlike lots of other people whose holiday travel is probably one continuous string of crowded roads/airports, missed connections, etc., my travel went as smoothly as one could expect, I think. That's not very interesting, which is why I put most of it behind a cut-tag.
