Oh, I had someone at Norwescon point it out to me as well -- a fan who had also been one of the train attendants on a 2-day excursion behind Daylight locomotive 4449 that I and my wife rode some years ago instead of going to BayCon -- but my mind was full up there and I didn't say anything about it at the time.

There are a fair number of train buffs in SF fandom. I was on a panel at BayCon and trains and rail transit and the medium-sized function room was packed out.
