Nothing ever works as well as it does in the infomercials, and we haven't had any use to try and draw water out of a carpet or anything like that yet, but as towels, they seems to work okay. We're using one as a bath-mat and another as a hand-towel in the kitchen, and so far they seem workable. Whether they'll actually save big bucks on paper towels is another matter.
