People have been immensely nice to me today, complimenting me about my handling of the Westercon Business Meeting. Thank you all! I couldn't have done it without help.

One of the nicest things said to me was, "Bruce Pelz would have been proud of you." Gosh.

I'm going to upload it when I can, but we shot on two cameras and there's editing involved, and I'm also not sure the hotel internet here would tolerate the amount of bandwidth I'd be using to do it. It make take me a while to edit it all together.

Whoever said it was right - Bruce *would* have been proud of you - no yelling, no hysteria, you handled the meeting with a firm hand that was never mean or short tempered - you used humor to deflate potential issues without making fun of anyone - watch that vid (I watched spacecobrajoe's feed live) and realize you didn't let one person down. You even handled the "shame on all you who voted for..." guy well.

I really wish I'd been in the room - but the feed was almost as good :>.

Had the meeting not (for very good reasons) adjourned quickly once the matter was decided, I was contemplating up to formally share my appreciation for the head table staff.
