Quiet Day

Inasmuch as tomorrow is a very busy day (drive to Yuba City, then Sacramento, then to the Bay Area), and it only gets busier (get up way too early to get the van to the mechanic in time to get to the train station to ride to work), I spent today taking it relatively easy and packing for this coming week.

For the last couple of weeks post-Sasquan, I've found myself waking up in the middle of the night with a cough. It wasn't until yesterday morning, when I did my routine every-four-weeks change of the fine-particulate filter in my CPAP machine, that it dawned on me that this probably had something to do with all of the smoke in Spokane. The filter was just choked with gunk. I put a fresh filter in and slept better last night.

Thank you for reminding me to change the filter on my own face-hugger. I'd intended to do it when I got back from the playa, for obvious reasons, and then we didn't go...

Four weeks? B. cleans hers every week. Of course, our house is full of cat hair and general dust.

But the smoke, more than the Puppies, makes us glad we didn't go to Spokane.

I haven't looked at my filter since Sasquan. I'm pretty sure I had a fresh filter in there just before we left (or put one in there).

But, I'm really bad about changing filters and masks - which is why I have a stockpile of mask parts.
