Well, it is good to know that Smofcon memberships are more popular / useful / valuable than Nippon memberships were. Prompted by your post, I offloaded my "guest of" membership on a local mailing list in less than 10 minutes this morning.

I don't think that it's about which is more useful or valuable; just that it is easier for North Americans to decide to go to Boston on a whim.
