I thinkm its more for US fans or at least regular US worldcon goers to decide on teh date. Personally I think clashing with DragonCon is a bad idea, as if one can afford to do two conventions, a clash puts an end to it.

I also wonder how differnt Dragon Con attendees can be, if Anne McCaffrey can be a guest there - implying book readers attending.
