Batteried

I not too long ago bought a PowerGenix NiZn battery charger with four batteries, and I've been very pleased with the performance of the batteries. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost two of them, and when I went to Fry's to buy more (only NiZn batteries work in the charger), I found that they were discontinued. I found a few online, but it appears that the manufacturer isn't making them anymore! I went ahead and ordered an 8-pack online, but I wish I'd known that Fry's (where I'd originally purchased the charger) didn't have it so I could have saved myself the trip.

Update: I found the other two NiZi batteries; I'd left them in the tote bag I'd taken to WonderCon. I'm not sorry I bought an eight-pack of additional batteries, though, since it has to be, in effect, a lifetime supply.

I've been switching to the NiMH precharged batteries due to their long shelf life and performance. Mostly the Sanyo Eneloop brand, though I also have ended up with pairs of Duracell, Targus & Kodak. All hold their charge and last a long time.

I tried a set of Energizer Lithiums in one our pocket cameras and they lasted nearly a 1000 shots and nearly 6 months of burst usage.

The PowerGenix website doesn't say anything about discontinuing the product...
