Another Close Call

Yesterday morning, while moving firewood from the large box to the porch, I dropped a log, which hit a stick on the ground that flew up into my face. This could have been bad.



The stick hit my glasses and smacked me over my right eyebrow. The cut is not easy to see, even for me, and I know where it is because I can still feel it.

If I had not been wearing glasses, I think could have had a serious eye injury rather than just a small cut over my eyebrow.

One of those days to be thankful you need glasses!

Or to remember to wear safety glasses if you don't wear ordinary ones.
Though I'm not sure "moving logs" would normally count as sufficiently dangerous an activity that I'd routinely break out safety glasses for it.

Same here - you wouldn't expect an issue like this.
