Fewer Would Be Nice...

...but I'm predicting that the Giants will win the World Series in six games. I won't be upset if they sweep the way some people are saying after last night's game, but I think the Rangers are better than that. And I reckon there's something to be said for winning the Series at home.

I predict that the winner of the the World Series will be . . . the team that wins four games.

On the other hand, it would be appropriate for a team whose colors are orange and black to win on Halloween (Game 4).

(In 2004, had the Series gone 7 games, the last game would've been played at Fenway Park on Halloween. Given the Curse of the Bambino, the Sox having a relief pitcher named Mike Myers (same name as the villain of the Halloween series of horror films), and Sox fan Stephen King (who co-wrote a book about the 2004 Sox season) in the stands, you had to figure Cthulhu would've made an appearance out of the infield during the 7th inning stretch)

We've never been to a game in SF. (As I also commented to Cheryl, I've been to SF only three times, which is amazing because the train goes right from here to there as you know very well.)

Winning at home would be nice, winning faster would drive a stake in TX's heart ;).

Ever have one of those dreams where you're falling but you can't wake up so you keep falling and falling and falling? That's what Game 2 was like as a Rangers fan.

I'd love to see Texas win the Series but, honestly, winning the pennant (finally!) by beating the damn Yankees (thanks, A-Rod!) is all the baseball thrill I require this year. Neither the Texas Rangers nor the San Francisco Giants have ever won a World Series so either way it will be historic.

Agreed on all counts. Sorry about the piling-on last night, but the Giants have been known to blow big leads and therefore I can't see them ever slacking off, just in case their own wheels' lug nuts start showing signs of looseness.
