Having not gotten to bed until after 2 AM thanks to being out so late with the BASFA crew that saw The Game Show Show last night, we were in no hurry to get going this morning. Lisa had some shopping that needed doing for electronic parts most easily found at Weird Stuff Warehouse and HSC Electronics, so we headed up there around mid-day. After stopping for lunch, we then went to downtown San Jose to The Tech Museum of Innovation, primarily to see Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition. This had closed in Chicago just around Worldcon and we missed it there, and I was pleased when I heard it was coming to San Jose so I'd get a chance to see it. The Exhibition consists of a lot of the props from the show (like the bracket for the Rocket Car and RoboShark) along with things you can do and play with. They even have a version of the Walk Don't Run (do you get wetter in a rain storm if you walk or run through it) that you can do yourself. It was a whole lot of fun, but by the end of the day, we were both feeling pretty footsore.

Not having my van back yet, I took advantage of having Lisa here with her pickup truck to go buy a few groceries for the coming week on our way back from downtown San Jose. Then, having little energy for anything else, after we got back to the apartment, we walked over to the nearby Denny's and had dinner, or in my case another breakfast, with us both ordering off their limited-time Hobbit menu. The "Shire Sausage" is actually pretty good. It is a good thing we walked for a full hour after dinner, however, as the pumpkin pancakes that came with my meal were good but full of carbohydrates, and I was fortunate that an hour of exercise kept my blood sugar levels from skyrocketing.

I've walked a whole lot this past week, averaging more than 15K steps/day. I may well take tomorrow off after Lisa heads back to Nevada.
