Having the dipstick show overfull is definitely a sign it's overfull. But even if it's overfull it really shouldn't be leaking, it means there's a gasket or connection somewhere that's not quite sealed. The oil pan gasket is the prime suspect, since if the oil's overfull it's coming up to or even past the top of the oil pan thus making it possible to leak out while it's just sitting there. See if you can look under and find if that's where the drip starts. No particular reason to panic if it is, but next time you get the oil changed you could have the oil pan gasket replaced -- it's an easy and quick job if the engine's already drained of oil anyway.
