There are two things I covet that seem to be standard in newer vans: 1) a "back-up cam" that shows the view BELOW your rear-view-out-the-back-window visibility. Even unloaded, I can't see if, say, there's a toddler running behind me in a parking lot. When I'm fully loaded, I have maybe 1' to 1.5' between the top boxes and the "ceiling", so there could be a subcompact behind me, not even tailgating, and I'd barely see it. I love rest areas with "pull-through" parking spaces instead of "back-out" spaces. I should probably get a kit & retro-fit one on my poor old van someday... 2) "plug-&-play" for various MP3 devices (iPods). However, my iPod is 12+ years old now, so even if I got a car with a hard-wired "dock", it wouldn't be compatible with mine (I think mine's a "firewire" plug to connect to the laptop, whereas the standard now is USB for everything).
