I'm leaving my old one up, and am echoing posts, but not allowing new comments on the LJ side - as you've probably seen. But! People can use their LJ accounts to comment on my Dreamwidth journal, so really, it's maybe one extra click. Bam. (I am solarbird there also, of course.)
The good news is that Dreamwidth is fuckin' hoppin' at the moment, I mean, it's not like 2004 LJ? But it's a lot closer to that than 2016 LJ. And more than DW+LJ has had combined for years. I am daring to use the phrase "critical mass."
So now that you're joining the Dreamwidth Zerg Rush, here's some possibly useful data:
1) As you've seen, and fired up, you can import your old LJ there via built-in functionality, and it works, and brings in comments if you want.
