It's Official: The Hugo Awards are Oldest

kevin_standleeDuring the "Friends Don't Let Friends Run Worldcons" panel, the plaque that was presented during the Hugo Awards last night was brought in because Kent Bloom and Mary Morman, as part of the Worldcon History Project, were taking responsibility for it.
The Guinness Book of World Records has officially recognized the Hugo Awards as the longest-running science fiction awards with this plaque.
I think this is a pretty cool thing, and I'm happy that Worldcon 75 was able to arrange with Guinness Book to get this presentation done here at Helsinki.
