Another Day, Another Tree

kevin_standleeToday we tackled the tree-of-heaven that grows along the fence opposite our front door.
It's been useful shade during the summer, but it's time for these leaves and branches to go.
The first time I cut one of these trees back this far, I was sure it would kill it, but tree-of-heaven is stubborn, and next spring I expect it to sprout lots of new branches and leaves, but I hope not many seed pods.
The brush pile is growing bigger by the day. I'm glad I put the pile well away from the fence.
