Early Night

I leave for Montreal on a flight from Reno that boards at 5 AM tomorrow morning. By my reckoning, that means I should aim to be at the airport at 3 AM, and thus should plan to leave the house at 2 AM. Therefore, my alarm is set for just after Midnight tonight so I have plenty of time to get ready and finish packing. If everything goes well, I'll be there with time on my hands, but with so many points where things could go wrong, I prefer to be conservative. Weather looks good at Reno, Denver (connection), and Montreal, although Montreal is showing a 100% chance of rain.

I will try to get to bed as soon as I can after I post this. It probably helps that of late I've been feeling sleepy around this time of day anyway. We'll see how it goes.

All Clear

Just before brushing my teeth and turning in for whatever sleep I can manage, I took a COVID-19 test.

I'm not surprised that the test was negative. I am 5x vaccinated, wear an N95 mask whenever I'm away from the house, and do my best to avoid crowds. Traveling by air is a necessary evil. I managed to get a first class upgrade, which should help (and means I won't have to check the camera case), and I'll stay masked, even if nobody around me is. And if someone complains at me, I'll tell them that I'd feel really bad if I gave them a life-threatening diseases, even if they don't believe it exists.
