If it isn't obvious, I'm very much in sympathy with your lack of travel. I haven't seen my nephew and niece (both of whom were born since the pandemic started) because I'm worried about traveling. Similarly, I must go visit my father soon at his home near Oroville, California, because there's a good chance that if I don't, I'll never get the chance again. Fortunately, he is vaccinated, boosted, and not a reality denier. (I would have been so sad if he was.)
I'm sorry you won't be at Westercon 74. I suspect that you would enjoy it. You're not allergic to non-urban areas.
