I've heard people say, "Are you seriously planning to keep getting these vaccinations every 6 to 12 months forever?" as if it was a Fate Worse than Death.
Lots of people seem to think it's important to "live without depending on civilisation." They ignore things like water and electricity supplies, sanitation, motorised transport, and so on, because their parents had them, and thus humans have always had them: ignorance of the change in lifestyles over the past few centuries is amazingly common. I count vaccinations as one of the reasons I'm still fairly young at 61, when my father, born 46 yeas before me, was definitely getting old at the same age.
