If you don't follow Piper for Missouri on social media, you might want to. She also constantly runs into the "this state is so red we don't even try to run Democrats" problem. She ran for office herself (and lost), but continues to go around talking to people, and she says there is more support for Democrats there than you would think but that there are never any on the ballot.
