Solstice Sunrise

kevin_standleeFrom our years of living here, we know what the northern and southern points at which the sun rises over Fernley as seen from out front porch.
Just moments before dawn broke over the tanks of the asphalt plan in the distance, I snapped this photo. I obviously couldn't wait for the actual sunrise because it would have blinded the camera.
Not exactly scenic, but I'm happy to see the longest day of the year and the start of the sun's retreat to the south.
