Ah, but that's the secret -- I'm sort of a costumer. It's not my specialization within fandom, but I'm overall a generalist, and I dabble in lots of things. And I've been in costume nearly all the time I've been here.
The things that have kept me from doing more dressing up have primarily been lack of time due to commitments to other areas -- and having gained so much weight. If I were to get back to my "fighting weight," there are outfits that would come out of the closet that I am certain would astound many of the people who pigeonhole me as merely one of those SMOFS.
