I Don't Like Ike

Hurricane Gustav, while destructive, wasn't a Katrina-style catastrophe, partially because it didn't hit New Orleans head-on, and partially because people were sufficiently scared to evacuate, and it looks like the evacuation went well. The city has been coming back to life, the Saints will play in the Superdome this weekend, and (of personal interest to me), Northwest let us postpone our trip for a week with no penalty.
And now the five-day probability projection on Hurricane Ike is pointing right at New Orleans, and if it sticks to that track, it will hit New Orleans dead-center while we're there. Maybe we should have gone this weekend after all.
