I'm not aware of any ADA compliance issues with The Fairmont. None of the exterior entrances have steps, there are elevators right by the stairs to the ballroom level by the First Street entrance, and a ramp to the sunken bar in the lobby. There may be issues with certain sleeping rooms, but those have not been brought to my attention and the hotel assures me they have accessable rooms. If you know of any issues, please let me know.
Our contract with The Fairmont does say "common areas, sufficient guest rooms and any transportation services shall be reasonably accessible and usable by persons with disabilities." Once we have been awarded the convention, we'll put a process in place for attendees to request accessible rooms.
