With my John's Club (casino affinity card from John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks), I have a small number of entries in a long-running promotion of theirs that comes to a head tonight, when they do must-be-present-to-win drawings for $5,000 cash (7 PM) and a Mini Cooper (9 PM). Since we were planning on going to Reno to day for a grocery shopping trip, and we'll probably want to have dinner at John's Oyster Bar, we just need to adjust our schedule so that we're on the casino floor at the right times. Of course we probably won't win, but the opportunity seems worth attempting. If we do win the car, we'll probably try to sell it right away because we'd rather have the money toward the house than the car.

Many casinos are willing to give you a check for the cost of the Car instead of the car itself. I hope you do get lucky tonight either way.
