I had mundane sorts of errands to run today: take the recycling in for the refund (which I then turned around and more than spent on books), return the Comcast cable box (since I disconnected the cable on account of not watching it enough to justify the expense), buying groceries, that sort of thing. Unfortunately, the roads were all clogged up with people out Christmas shopping, and when the rain came, they all started sliding into each other because they never remember how to drive in the wet. Me, I slowed down (even when not forced to do so by traffic ahead) and eased away from stop lights (much to the annoyance of the people behind me, who presumably assume I should be flooring it, even though that would make me go slower on account of I'd just spin my wheels on the wet pavement. In any event, I didn't get every errand done, and I scratched any idea of going to see The Hobbit this afternoon. I just wanted to go lie down. Besides, I'm not completely recovered from the bronchitis anyway — the cough is still there, just less of it.
