Cheryl went to make dinner, and said, "Didn't we buy chicken last night?"
"We sure did," I said, and I confirmed it from the store receipt.
"It's not in the refrigerator," she said.
We must have left it at the checkout counter, becuase we surely would have noticed today when we went out on our errands if we'd left it in the van overnight.
Rats! I hate wasting things like that.
