Bank Account Braced

I have successfully informed Bank of America that I will be traveling internationally so that they won't freeze my card when I try to get cash. (I got burned by this once on a trip to Montreal for Anticipation planning.) I've also refreshed my memory on who BofA's partner in the UK is (Barclay's) so I don't get hit with extra fees when I withdraw cash. At least for this trip I don't have to worry about drawing too much, inasmuch as I can always use the surplus next year at Worldcon.

I'm fortunate that I've been able to do a deal with my employer that makes this possible, and that Lisa is not too annoyed at me taking the days off so that I can go to WFC.

I hope it works. I've tried telling my bank, I've tried not telling my bank. Doesn't seem to make a damn bit of difference if you trip the security alert :(

My banker told me if I want to save on ATM fees to use my debit card and ask for a cash advance. I haven't had to do that in years, but it might work for you.
