Sporting Saturday

I did indeed manage to get up before 6 AM in order to watch the England-Paraguay match. Using Skype,
cherylmorgan and I watched the match "together" even though she's in the UK right now. There was a time-travel oddity, though: presumably because of something in the way she got the signal on the BBC internet feed, her view of the match was around 15-20 seconds later than mine. That meant that if I saw a big play, I'd react to it before she'd even seen it.
Now I have to run, as Dave Gallaher is waiting at the gate to take us both to the NZ Maori-Ireland A rugby match.

Date: 2006-06-10 09:25 pm (UTC)I have two grandsons who play hockey now, so I better learn it better. It's actually a fun sport. I don't know why some people claim it is boring.
Really need to change the the scoring to 7 points a goal. That's why US football sounds more exciting.
