Solstice Sunrise

Because of my Central-Time-Zone-bound work schedule, I'm up before sunrise every day. Today, however, is the least before sunrise I am up, and I had the timing right for the northernmost sunrise we get here.

Official sunrise was 5:29 AM. This photo was a few minutes later, as the sun actually hit our house.
Yesterday, we had menacing clouds mixed with smoke.

The previous day we had a brief but torrential rain, and thunderstorms started wildfires in the area. Today, smoke from those fires mixed with the clouds, but brought no additional rain that might have helped extinguish the fires.
It's still quite hot here, but not as bad as the previous two days, and a breeze helps a bit, although it's bad for any wildfires, of course.
