Meeting Night

kevin_standleeLisa was not feeling well, so she stayed home, but she did send me off to attend this month's North Lyon County Fire Protection District meeting. I was taken by surprise when the Chair asked me to lead the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance, but I managed adequately.
I do rather wish that these discussions could get to the point, though. They seem to spend an inordinate amount of time dancing around a subject without getting to specific proposals. I guess it's because I've been in plenty of meetings where we have limited time and need to discuss specifics, not just hem and haw a lot, that sensitizes me to this stuff.
