After a week of steadily warmer weather, we had one more hint of winter with a cold snap for the past couple of days. We had some rain here in Fernley itself, and when Lisa and I went for a walk last night, the Pah-Rah Mountains to the west of us were deeply covered in clouds. This morning, just before sunrise reached the valley floor, I had a look at what might be winter's last throw.

Most of the snow was gone by this evening, but there will probably be a few bits of it on the highest peaks on May Day.
It got cold enough here that with my fingers starting to lose feeling, I gave up and re-lit the fireplace for what I hope will be the last time this season.
