Spring has finally arrived here in Fernley, and as is typical in the desert, plants are rushing to get as much growth in as they can before they get scorched by the summer sun. That means they start growing like weeds, which is what most of them are.



A few days ago, Lisa broke out the trimmer and started going after the stuff behind the house. This grassy stuff grows really fast for a very short time.

With all of the rain we had this winter, I'm expecting an excessively large amount of growth here this spring.
