Land Clearance

Yesterday after coming back from breakfast at the Wigwam, I put on my coveralls and boots and took advantage of the overcast and cool, but not windy or rainy, weather to tackle fighting back the brush from our east fence.

While listening to the SF Giants' final game of the season (and of manager Bruce Bochy's career) over my phone on mlb.com, I was able to clear this much area of tumbleweeds and other brush. The pile in the far right is all of the material I cleared. I wish I'd remembered to take a "before" photo.
Getting the brush cut back from that fence is good. Unfortunately, there's no place to put the accumulated brush other than to pile it up. Maybe it makes a temporary habitat for the local wildlife.
