Family Bed

kevin_standleeI don't remember if I've written about this before, but after we did a bunch of cleaning in the bedroom and changed the linen on the bed, I got to thinking about how every night I sleep in my own bed, I have a connection to my family.
The red-and-white bedspread was a gift from and made by my great-grandmother (my mothers' mother's stepmother) when Lisa and got married. The two afghans were made by my grandmother (who raised me and my sister after my parents divorced in 1970). She gave them to me when I first moved out on my own.
Using these blankets on my bed gives me good memories of my family.

Date: 2020-04-28 09:08 am (UTC)I decorated my entire flat in green and yellow (the 2nd bedroom was intended to be lilac and white but the couple renting the room from me chose a different combination of green and yellow when they moved in)
