My Sister's Surgery

I mentioned a few weeks ago that my sister was scheduled for surgery this week. I got an e-mail from my mother last night confirming that she'd come through it pretty well and had not needed a blood transfusion (she had pledges from lots of people as needed). I called her at the hospital in Yuba City today and talked to her for a while this morning. She came through pretty well, and they'd discharging her to go home this afternoon. She'll have to take it easy for a while, but she's otherwise feeling pretty chipper, although she admits some of that might be the medications.
