Anime Hugo and Hoax Worldcon Bids

redneckotaku has a couple of interesting ideas that are now under discussion on his LiveJournal, and I'm mentioning them here (and asking people to take any comments they might have over there) to give them somewhat wider coverage.

1. He wants to propose a Hugo Award for anime.

2. He's asking for help for a hoax Worldcon bid, possibly for the Aberdeen Proving Ground.

I Can't Wait for June 7th

I am so fed up with automated political telephone calls. I got four of them today. Well, 3 1/2 -- one of them was a live person, not a recording. I'm immune from the calls, because I sent in my absentee ballot yesterday, but not immune from the aggravation. However, they are immune from "Do Not Call" lists, grumble, mutter.

Update, 22:00: Make that six.
