Damage Update
Feb. 26th, 2008 10:42 amAt the moment, my daily shower is the high point of my day, because for that short time, I can take off the darn bandages with which my lower right arm is wrapped to cover the gouges I got a few days ago. The healing progresses nicely, with the cuts having faded from angry red to only mildly-unhappy pink. Taking off the bandages gives me a highly-desired opportunity to scratch the itchy spots, most of which are, surprisingly enough, not on the cut itself but on the rest of my covered arm. After cleaning, I continue to liberally apply antibiotic ointment to the injured area, followed by lanolin ointment over not just the cut but the rest of my arm, along with anti-itch ointment on the uninjured areas to try and reduce the itching. It works a little bit. Then it's back on with the gauze and over-wrap, not too tightly of course, and back to work.
I know I'm whining. This could have been far worse.
Edit, 12:25: Whoops, left a phrase out of a sentence. Fixed.
