My productivity today was nearly zero. If I hadn't gone out for a walk after lunch to mail a letter that's been hanging around my briefcase for three days, I would have accomplished nothing at all.
Coming in to this weekend, I toyed with the idea of making a surprise visit up to Yuba City and Oroville to visit my grandfather and father, but the continuing upward spiral of gas prices (and the knowledge that I have two long driving trips coming up in the next two months) put me off from doing so. I did, however, send both of them Father's Day cards last week, and neither of them were expecting visits from me, so it's not like I'm disappointing anyone.
Besides, this weekend was supposed to be a "recharge from the past six weeks travel" weekend anyway. But there are still things I'm supposed to get done. Finish composing SFSFC minutes. Type up Match Game SF questions, and try to think up more questions for the games we'll be playing at Las Vegas, on account of I don't want to bore the panel or the audience by re-using questions for a third time. Fingers crossed that tomorrow I'm awake a bit longer than I was today.
