Vacuum Workout
Sep. 13th, 2009 06:12 pmHaving not finished the house cleaning yesterday, I undertook the long-delayed vacuuming of the apartment this afternoon. It took longer than I thought it would, but it's been months since anyone has thoroughly cleaned the dust, and I had to keep stopping to switch between floor and hose in order to get at stuff with the hose attachment. Anyway, when I was done, I not only felt like I was living in a much cleaner environment, but I found that I'd logged more than 2700 steps on the pedometer, which means I can feel better about not having gone for a long walk around Quarry Lakes. I did what I call the "short loop" which is only about half as long, instead. Even so, it's only amounting to around 7K steps for the day rather than the 10K preferred.
Now to repack stuff for jury duty tomorrow. Instructions say that I can bring my computer and mobile phone, so I want to fit stuff into my backpack, but not have to take by briefcase as well. If they have wi-fi and if they make us wait for a long time, I might be able to get some work done.
