A Line on that Tree

If the weather clears a bit either on Friday or Saturday, Lisa has come up with an idea for cutting that blasted tree. Her father is dithering over calling in a tree service (and it's hard to get the services' attention at this time of year anyway), and I won't be here after Sunday morning, so we're running out of time. Trust me, we have no desire to be anywhere near that tree while it's falling, so anything we do has to be done in a way that makes the risks at least tolerable.
