Football Thoughts

redneckotaku tonight, who passed westward within a few miles of me here in Columbus on a bus between Baltimore and Indianapolis on his way to a football game that did no go at all the way I'm sure he wished it had. I hope the return trip east was not too awful.
I used to make those kinds of long bus trips -- such as the one to my first Worldcon in 1984 from Marysville to Sacramento to Los Angeles to Anaheim CA, but I don't have the stomach for them anymore. A similarly long train trip, yes, but you can get up and walk around on trains. But there are no trains between Baltimore and Indianapolis. (Update, Saturday 10:55: Whoops, I forgot: see below.)
