Quiet Anniversary

Lisa and I went to Salem last night where we collected her new shoes and she bought the second half of her present to me for our wedding anniversary before I took us to dinner at the Golden Tent Mongolian BBQ. After dinner, we stopped for some groceries and made our way home for a quiet evening of playing British Rails. My present to Lisa was a very large package of Toblerone chocolates (courtesy of the duty-free shops in Melbourne) and she got me a new office chair for use while I'm working up here (and a plastic mat on which to roll it around without ruining the floor in her father's dining area).

Yes, things are pretty boring around here. But I'm not really looking for excitement right now.

This morning, I drove my van over to Lisa's father's house so I could unload the office chair she'd given me without having to carry it across the field.

Before I can start using it, we'll have to figure out how to run the network cables over to the table from where it sits. Until now, I've been working from a higher seat at the kitchen counter, on account of that is where the home Ethernet outlet is located.
