Getaway Day

Because I woke up at 3:30 AM on Friday morning, I simply went in to work and was thus able to leave about 1 PM. Getting out ahead of traffic meant that in the amount of time it would have taken me to drive to Fremont at 5 PM, I got as far as Tracy. I did have to stop for an hour when I got to Sacramento because there was a conference call onto which I needed to attend then, and that slowed me down a bit more because the traffic had by then slowed down around the north end of Sacramento. Including two rest breaks, I made it to Fernley about 8:30 PM.
